What have I done?!

This morning, I left Singapore for home. All the way, I had my iPod to accompany me and keep me from getting too preoccupied with a terrible phenomena known as bus-ride boredom.

Now that I'm home, I wanted to download some songs that were omitted from the Moulin Rouge soundtrack CD (thanks, Joyce!) to complete the collection, so I plugged my iPod into my computer and popped the CD in.

"Would you like to configure your iPod?"

Sure, why the hell not?

IT FRIGGIN RESETTED MY IPOD TO FACTORY SETTINGS.

I lost everything! Frank Sinatra, choir songs, Disney stuff, and even Aretha Franklin which I don't listen to often, all got deleted! Along with the Naruto movie and 5 complete manga series I took from a friend's laptop to occupy my holiday at home! Plus the scans I had of a certain birthday gift to a certain choirmate as well!

Almost 8GB worth of files, lost at the click of a button.

Apple should [insert present continuous tense beginning with the letter 'F' that rhymes with 'plucking' here] put a warning before people like me do something we regret.

Now I just hope Alex hasn't deleted all those files I downloaded onto his laptop...
